For anyone involved in academics, at any level, this is the crazy-busy time of the year. I’m trying to stay mindful these last few weeks of the term in the midst of grading and conference talks and all of those aspects of life and other people over which we have no control. In the words of Christi Craig, just make the [flippin’] pancakes.
Gretchen Rubin has a fun and thought-provoking “How Mindful Are You?” video quiz, below (from her blog, The Happiness Project), that helps us to realize just how mindless we can be: “Do you sometimes go from one place to another without any recollection of how you got there?”
Do any of her other examples of mindless moments sound familiar?
