First, thank you so much for the wonderful responses to my request yesterday for your favorite books on writing! I plan to collect them all in a list to share later this week, so please add any other titles you think of. So many great suggestions!
I need to spend most of today working on an index that is due soon (my other, other job, lol), but not before I update you on my potato gaffe (read this post to see what I mean). Last weekend I was at dinner with some friends who asked whether the potato worked to remove our broken lightbulb, and I said with more than a tinge of embarrassment that I cooked all the potatoes I had bought for that purpose and hadn’t removed the bulb yet.
So, this morning, I finally did it:
How many English professors does it take to change a lightbulb? One, but only after blogging about it and time for class discussion.
Great news to wake up to! I had to grin 😀 ! – Fair winds and smooth sailing for your index and any other work you need to complete for today.
Kelsey, thank you! I made progress on the index, and, after tomorrow, should have it finished (now that I have light to work by, ha ha). 🙂 I hope fair winds and smooth sailing accompanied you as well today.
Congrats! I don’t blame you for taking your time. It’s the simple tasks that perplex me the most – surely there’s more to it than just a potato, right? 🙂
